Tarot Tuesday for the Week of April 22, 2013

*Yes, I know I missed Tarot Tuesday last week, but in light of the summer blockbuster type events that were happening in my hometown of Boston and the surrounding areas I didn’t feel like I could do anything but watch the events unfold.  I’ve been sending white light and positive energy out to all those affected by this tragedy including those who had to watch it unfold on the news.  I think we could all use a sage smudging just to replace this negative energy with something positive.

Tarot Outlook for the week of April 22, 2013

Five of cups
Seven of cups
Six of swords

Five of Cups.  Are you doing some pouting over the things that you don’t have? The Five of Cups points out that we may be crying over spilled milk.  You can’t change the past so there’s not use in pining away about it.  Besides, as the card shows, by spending time brooding over what you do not have you are missing out on what you do have.  It’s time to start being grateful for the positive things in your life.
Seven of Cups.  While the Five of Cups warns us about crying over what you don’t have, the Seven of Cups shows us that we may not be seeing our reality as it really is.  Is there some wishful thinking going on?  Now is the time to get our heads out of the clouds and take care of more earthly matters.   Jealousy and envy also go along with this card.  Are you feeling like someone else is getting all the things in life while you are suffering?  Snap out of it.  There is plenty to go around.
Six of Swords.   Luckily the Six of Swords is telling us that we are moving past all that envy and negative feelings.  This card is all about moving on and transformation.  There is no need to stay in a place that makes you unhappy.  Shake those feelings of regret and move towards your true life path.

yes, I know it's sideways but PicMonkey made fun of my 'vintage' browser and refused to play nice with it. Just turn your head a little to the right, you'll be alright.

Oracle Card of the Week:  Know your Magic
This card reminds you to treat everyone with kindness, including yourself.  Take deep breaths and remember that this too shall pass.

I hope these cards rang true for you this week.  If so, leave me a comment in the section below.

As always I wish you blessings!

Tarot Tuesday for the Week of April 8, 2013

Happy Tuesday everyone!
I got a suggestion today that I should talk about choice.  So I chose to.
See what I did there?
For the past two years (and off and on for eternity) I have been working on finishing my English degree.  Why English, you may ask?  Because I love reading and writing but most importantly, it’s the degree I started and restarted a hundred times over and the one in which I have the most college credits.  Ironically, since enrolling in school again, I’ve only taken three English classes and only one of those classes made me remember why I loved English.
The other two just plain sucked.
Not to mention with my schedule it was hard to fit in English classes because they tended to happened during the day hours when I worked my full time job.
This was causing great frustration and swear words.
So last week, while I was once again swearing trying to register for classes and stressing out because there wasn’t one that fit into my schedule, I realized I had to make a choice- stay in a program that didn’t work for me and no longer excited me or switch majors so I can finally get the hell out of school.
Ta-da, I’m now a Socio-psychology major and I’ll be graduating next spring.
It’s amazing how before I made this decision I could not see the light at the end of the tunnel and once I made a simple switch in my perspective the clouds parted. This is how the Law of Attraction works.  By choosing to be more fulfilled and/ or happier in your life, we align ourselves with those particular outcomes.
You ever see the movie the Iron Giant where the beatnik, Dean, offer some advice to Hogarth?

This is how we should go out into the world every day.  Be your own superhero and keep your focus on the positive outcomes you want in life.
“Though no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.” ~Carl Bard

Need help on how to go about this new journey toward a more positive outcome?  Here’s what I’ve been doing for the past few weeks.  Every morning while I brush my teeth I ask my Angels, Ancestors and Spirit Guides to guide me down the path to my highest best.  You feel free to insert your deity of choice.
Do you, boo.  I’m not judgey.
::jumping down off my soap box:::
Let’s get to this week’s tarot outlook, shall we?
Tarot outlook for the week of April 8, 2013

Four of Wands
Four of Cups
Eight of Cups Reversed

In Numerology the number four is all about stability and calls for the grounding nature of all things. Fours represent solidity, calmness, and home. Having fours show up in your life may mean it’s time to get back to your roots or to center yourself.
(as I was typing this out I noticed that the Eight of Cups is also divisible by Four…. Oooh..yeah.. not a math major )
Four of Wands.   This week looks like a good time to get together with family and friends.  You may find that you’ve been spending too much time working and not enough time touching base with your chums.  This card suggests it may be time to take a break and hang out with your ‘peeps’.  You all know what they say about all work and no play..
Four of Cups.  Are you refusing to see the possibilities that are around you or maybe you are you afraid to take a risk and accept the opportunity that is being offered to you?  The Four of Cups suggest that you are being offered an opportunity but for some reason you aren’t acknowledging its existence.   What are you afraid of?
Eight of Cups Reversed.  Remember how as a kid you were told if a bee is ever buzzing around you the best defense is to just stand still?  You know how hard that is to do when everything in your body is telling you to flail your arms and run away screaming?  The Eight of Cups is suggesting you don’t make any rash decisions.  If you find yourself in a situation where you feel like you want to flee, you answer might not be to run away but  to just stand still.

Oracle Card of the Week: Dream Creation

Perhaps this need for grounding is to prepare you for the next step in actualizing your dreams.  Try your hand at meditation this week or maybe it’s time to create a new vision board.  Spend some time focusing on your goals and setting your intentions and watch how the Universe clears the path for you.
Need some grounding in your life?  What are some of the ways that you take time to get centered? Also, how did you choose to move your life toward  more positive outcomes?  Let me know in the comment section.
I hope the week is a great one!
Blessings..

Tarot Card Tuesday for the Week of April 1, 2013

Happy Tuesday Everyone!
Can you believe it’s already April?  Just when I thought winter would never end, it did.
The warming up of the world is recharging my spirit and making me gung ho to start some new spring rituals.   I’m starting to organize my gardening plans (mostly by reading all the articles on the farmer’s almanac website. ) and taking inventory for last year’s seed stash.  I’m also hoping to get over my fear of exploding glass and hot jelly start canning this year.  We’ll see how it goes.
Maybe this will be the season I get into meditation (instead of just falling asleep while listening to meditation CDs.)  This season is all about rebirth and new beginnings.  What new activities are you going to get into now that the sun has decided to turn its light towards us once again?

Hey, today is also Tarot Card Tuesday!  Let’s see what the Universe has in store for us this week.
Tarot Outlook for the Week of April 1, 2013

Six of Wands
Nine of Cups Reversed
Nine of Wands Reversed

Looks like this is a week of development.
Six of Wands.  Expect some recognition and pat yourself on the back.  This week it will become evident that you are the bee’s knees.  Expect success in the things you’ve accomplished. Congratulations!
Nine of Cups Reversed.  You ever see A Christmas Story when the main character, Ralphie, sends away for the decoder ring only  to discover the secret message it reveals was not as great as he thought it would be?

Maybe the accolades you receive this week aren’t as great as advertised.  Perhaps the pat on the back from your boss also came with more work.  It might also turn out that the thing that you thought you wanted so badly turned out to be a big dissapointment.
Or, could it be you were just being greedy?
Nine of Wands Reversed.  The realization that all this recognition isn’t what it’s cracked up to be might have you a little on edge.  Feeling like you have to watch your back this week or that everyone is out to get you?  Chill out.    Relax, relate, release.  You might be over thinking it.  Try going with the flow in this new situation and you may realize it’s not as bad as it seems.

Oracle Card of the Week:  Gentleness and Diplomacy

Breathe in.  Breathe out.  This week let’s give everyone the benefit of the doubt.  Consider that maybe your perception is off and maybe, just maybe your coworkers have not band together in order to drive you bat shit crazy.  It’s a possibility.
Consider the quote “Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle” before you decide to embark on your next rampage.  Woosah, people.

I hope this reading rings true for you. If it does, leave me a comment and tell me all about it.

Blessings Everyone!
